Dear Readers,

I received this email last week from my new mobile phone company, I found it so amusingly cringeworthy and actually felt for the poor guy who was trying to be nice. Dear readers, please understand that I’m writing this post to create awareness of a couple of things.

Firstly, please don’t tell me you’re very sorry to hear that I have cerebral palsy, I’m a happy and healthy 23 year old living my best life. It implies there’s something wrong with me that needs fixing and I honestly wouldn’t change anything. This is me, my life and cerebral palsy is a part of who I am but it doesn’t define me. Secondly, what speedy recovery? I’m not going to suddenly get up and walk, even with all the prayers in the world. If you google, it says it’s a life long condition which most people are born with so like I said, this is me and I love it. So, I gratefully and politely suggest you send your prayers elsewhere
